Thanks to everyone who came out last night to see the show.

I have learned a valuable lesson: If you drink a lot of alcohol right before you get on stage (thanks, [info]dharmasatya), this ‘playing music live’ thing gets a whole lot easier and a whole lot more fun. I had a fan-fucking-tastic time.

I hope that, above all else, everyone learned something last night: Five drunk musicians can do a live gay disco house remix of The Hand That Feeds that makes the original version pale in comparison.

Take that lesson with you, friends, and hold it close to your heart.

  1. If the guys say it’s ok & I’m sure they would not mind. I’m getting the raw video of all the night and turning it in to a DVD.

  2. You guys were great! It was nice to listen to live music. I just wish I wasn’t in such a cruddy mood lately. Thank you so much for everything!

  3. Heh. I’ll get you trashed anytime it’s going to result in good music.

How do I get a copy of the DVD, and how much?

  4. Boozing it up before a gig leads to alchoholism for many musicians, unfortunately….

It was a great set! The first band (Place?) really needs to shoot their sound person!

  5. I know I didn’t do a great job.

It was a really awkward spot to be mixing from, and I didn’t deliver what they deserved. They’re good friends, and I’ve been engineering their rehearsals for a while. But it just didn’t work, I took on too much. I know I let them down.

I’m not going to make excuses, I feel sincerely bad about it.

  6. when did we do the cover ?? I mostly recall heckling the audience through heavy FX . umm was I onstage during this? must’ve been , I think I was up there from just after Place til the bitter end …..hmm . was it good or just not as bad as the original?

25oz of rye makes for an….interesting night
